How can paper beat rock?
by Allen on Nov.15, 2007, under Funny, Miscellaneus
I understand how scissors can beat paper, and I get how rock can beat scissors, but there’s no fucking way paper can beat rock. Is paper suppose to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why the hell can’t paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can’t paper do this to people? Why aren’t sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they take notes in class? I’ll tell you why, because paper can’t beat anybody. A rock would tear that shit up in two seconds. When I play rock paper scissors, I always choose rock. When somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper, I can punch them in the face with my already clenched hand and say:
“Oh shit, I’m sorry. I thought your paper was protecting you, you asshole!”
Note: This is copied from somewhere else but I completely approve of it.
New 8GB Zune 2
by Allen on Nov.13, 2007, under Media Players, Microsoft
I’ve had the old white 30GB Zune for awhile now (which by the way I never really use anymore) so I decided to pick up the nice new Red 8GB Zune 2 :). I haven’t got much to say about it other then it is pretty sweet and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a small portable device that plays music, photos, and video. I have high resolution pictures available as well.

Halo 3
by Allen on Sep.25, 2007, under Media, Personal, Releases, Xbox
So today is the big day where employers fear “Halo Sickness” and kids skip school. That’s right Halo 3 was launched today, I had preordered it from Target awhile ago, went in to pick it up today….Well I heard this rattle which the guy at the counter says is “normal” I get to my car and unpackaged the product to find out that my “essentials” disk is loose and scratched in the Limited Edition container, I went back in and got them to exchange it immediately, but when the woman opened the new one to make sure it was OK, Well…Both discs this time were out of place and scratched up, after opening a few of them I decided to take the less scratched essentials disc and am hoping I don’t run into any issues. I think the woman said she was going to RTV all of the Halo 3 Limited Edition packages at that store. Anyway if you want Halo 3 without the risk of the discs being out of place or scratched up I would suggest going with the regular NON limited edition (the one in the regular green case). I will post pictures of the Halo 3 package shortly.
That about sums it all up for that, can’t wait to get started and “finish the fight”
Update: Pictures (High Res.)
Update 2: It looks like Microsoft is responding to the damaged discs by offering a free replacement for Limited Edition Halo 3 check it out!

Windows Vista & Office 2007 Beta 2 Released
by Allen on May.23, 2006, under Betas, Windows Vista
Microsoft announced the release of both Windows Vista Beta 2 (build 5384.4) and Office 2007 Beta 2 (build 12.0.4017.1006). However at the moment Vista beta 2 is only available to WinHEC attendees, MSDN subscribers and Tech Beta testers. I’m guessing over the next few days according to e-mails I got that the Vista build will be available publicly just like Office 2007 is currently now.
